Rib Shop’s re-tubing department offer an efficient quality service for the replacement of Rib collars & Rib tubes. Our new Rib tubes are custom made to fit all makes and sizes of Rib's and inflatables. Our collars other wise know as tubes are constructed and tested to the highest standards and are only produced using what we consider to be the best Hypalon material.
Our turn round time is one of the fastest in the industry, this is due to the space and facilities we have at our purpose built workshops on the River Hamble. This means you can drop your craft off with us by road or water and collect it as little as 3 days later.
If your tubes need replacing through an insurance claim we work with most of the major UK insurers. We can deal directly with your insurance company and surveyors from start to finish so your boat can be back in operation with the minimum of fuss.

Construction
All the tubes we fit are hand crafted and custom made in order to fit the application and the hull required. The material used in construction of the collars is the internationally recognised ORCA Pennel Hypalon fabric.
ORCA fabric has unbeatable protection against UV and salt damage as well as having a very high level of mechanical and abrasion resistance.
Our standard Rib tubes are constructed from Orca Pennel 1300gsm material although 1500gsm is also available on request for the more commercial user.
Many tube manufacturers have moved away from using ORCA fabric due to cheaper materials now being available, however we believe none of the other fabrics meet the standards of Pennel.
Accessoires
Accessories can be fitted to new tubes as well as being added to existing tubes to enhance the aesthetics and usability. These include: handles, wear patches, non slip pads and protection areas, life lines, securing points, bow cleats and fairleads, fendering, pressure relief valves plus lots more.

Lead Time
Rib Shops Rib re tube service typically takes 3-4 weeks from the craft arriving with us, we have facilities on site to pull boats out the water on owners or supplied trailers giving residence of the Isle Of Wight the advantage of being able to drop off and collect by water avoiding car ferry costs.
